Kumihimo
Through a melting process of pure metal threads, projected in the form of micronised particles, Materica wraps a metallic film around any surface, clothing it in a new identity. In the Kumihimo screen, Pro-Fit’s hand-woven rope stretched over a wooden frame is transformed into a rigid and shiny material. The result is an unexpected object, alternating in modularity, harmonious in its geometry: the result of technological innovation and the search for an overall balance.
