The metaphor of a cetacean that travels the oceans and silently observes us brings the installation Balena back to the theme of environmental impact and how it is changing our lives. The leather surfaces of Conceria Lo Stivale require time and craftsmanship, the result of a slow production process of vegetable tanning, according to the ancient Tuscan tradition. Oscarmaschera, an artisan workshop specialising in leather processing, took up the design challenge, transforming the surfaces of Conceria Lo Stivale into a setting where the floor, walls and tables take on a connotation that evokes sustainability in every sense.
